2025 Laurel Festival Highlights | Part 3
The 2025 Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival Queen has been crowned. On the evening of Saturday, June 21, a packed auditorium at Wellsboro Area High School watched as Miss Montoursville, Alice Ravert, was named this year’s queen.
The coronation ceremony, a long-standing tradition during the Laurel Festival, was emceed by Ken VanSant and Tioga County Commissioner Marc Rice, who introduced the ten finalists competing for the crown. Each contestant was presented with a thought-provoking question during the pageant—a tradition that allows judges and audience members alike to witness the poise and insight of the candidates.
After a week of events, interviews, and personal interactions with the young women, the panel of judges deliberated based on public speaking, intelligence, character, and interpersonal skills.
After the intermission, Miss Commodore Perry, Lilly Waleff, was named Miss Congeniality, an honor voted on by her fellow candidates.
The runners-up were then announced: Miss Millville, Alexis Eyer, as second runner-up, followed once again by Lilly Waleff as first runner-up.
Finally, the moment the audience had been waiting for arrived, and with cheers from the crowd, Alice Ravert of Montoursville was crowned the 2025 Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival Queen.
Congratulations to all the remarkable young women who represented their communities with pride and grace throughout the week. The festival concluded on Sunday, June 22nd with the annual Unity Service on The Green. Our coverage of the final day of this beloved tradition airs tomorrow, June 26th.
