2020 Graduating Seniors of New Covenant Academy

Mingze (Mike) Li
New Covenant Academy Senior and choir singer, Mingze (Mike) Li ‘20 graduates in June and plans to move to California for college to pursue new opportunities. Mike is from China but currently lives in Millerton, PA.When asked about his favorite school memory he shared about his classes bridge project, which involved building a bridge out of balsa wood with certain size/weight restrictions and tested in a competition during a school assembly.

John Griffin
New Covenant Academy Senior and basketball player, John Griffin ‘20 graduates in June and plans to attend SUNY Corning Community College for Business Administration. John is from Elkland, PA. A quote by Napoleon Hill that inspired him is “A well educated man is a calculated one.” John shares that he believes he’ll determine his career path through continuing to pursue further education.During his time at NCA since he began attending three years ago, John has worked on the yearbook, sang in choir and played on the basketball and soccer teams.When asked about his favorite school memory he shared, “My favorite memory was not a specific event, but rather the experience of meeting new people and bonding with them over sports, academics among, etc.”

Snow Zi
New Covenant Academy Senior and basketball player, Snow Zi ‘20 graduates in June and plans to attend Penn State. Snow is originally from China but currently lives in Lawrenceville, PA.When asked about her favorite school memory she shared, “I just love playing basketball with the team. The happiness you feel when the team wins a game is indescribable.”

Kaixin (Autumn) Chen
New Covenant Academy Senior and artist, Kaixin (Autumn) Chen ‘20 graduates in June and plans to attend college. Autumn is originally from China but currently lives in Lawrenceville, PA.During her time at NCA she actively played on the basketball team. When asked why she loved NCA she shared, “Because everyone is so nice!”

Brendan Nash
New Covenant Academy Senior, Brendan Nash ‘20 graduates in June and is interested in attending college to study engineering. Brendan is from Mansfield, PA. During his six years spent at NCA since the seventh grade, Brendan has been involved in S.T.E.M and helping with the yearbook.When asked about his favorite school memory he shared, “When my classmates had a bonfire at another classmates house.”

Nathaniel DiCamillo
New Covenant Academy Senior and Student Council President, Nathaniel DiCamillo ‘20 graduates in June and plans to attend Mansfield University for Nursing with the ambition to be a Nurse Practitioner in future education. Nate is from Mansfield, PA. He shares, “I seek to affect individuals in a positive way. Influenced by my grandmother, a long retired nurse and resident at a nursing home, I believe that nursing is a profession of positive change.”During his time at NCA since he began attending in fourth grade, Nathan has been the Student Council President, the basketball captain and worship leader.
When asked about his favorite school memory he shared, “I will cherish the small memories of high school, the day-to-day, mundane, routine moments. I’ll recall the sound of lockers swinging shut in overcrowded halls, the uncomfortable embrace of metal folding chairs in classrooms, and the common phrase, “Do you have a pencil I can borrow?” I’ll value the smiles and laughter I got to exchange with friends and teachers so very often.”

Jenna Stebbins
New Covenant Academy Senior, Jenna Stebbins ‘20 graduates in June and plans to attend a trade school in North Carolina to become an Aesthetician. Jenna has attended NCA from preschool to her senior year; during this time she’s played on the volleyball and soccer teams, while also participating in advanced art classes.
When asked about her favorite school memory she shared, “My last last soccer season. The team did great and my coach was amazing.”Congratulations, Jenna, from all of us at NCA!

Nathan Shughart
New Covenant Academy Senior and soccer player, Nathan Shughart ‘20 graduates this June and plans to attend Triangle Tech for RHVAC.
When asked about his favorite school memory he shared, “My favorite memory with my class was when we had senior class pictures taken.”

Victoria Scolari
New Covenant Academy Senior and Class of 2020 President, Victoria Scolari ‘20 graduates this June and plans to attend Mansfield University for Nursing. During her time at NCA she has been a Basketball and Soccer Captain, Student Council’s Vice President, and New Covenant Academy’s Youth Leader of Tomorrow 2020.When asked about her favorite school memory she shared, “The relationships that have immensely grown through my high school years with my coaches, teachers, teammates, and fellow students. The memories of my team traveling to away games and playing together are my favorite memories at New Covenant Academy.”

Logan McElrath
New Covenant Academy Senior and Student Council Member, Logan McElrath ‘20 graduates this June and plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in HVAC Design Technology. Logan explains that he chose to go into the HVAC field because of the broad areas of study. HVAC includes electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning. “I enjoy working with my hands and using my mental ability to problem solve. I look forward to owning and operating my own HVAC business someday where I can put all these skills to use on a daily basis.”When asked about his favorite school memory, he shared, “I have always enjoyed the chapel services held at NCA on Mondays. I enjoy being able to worship alongside fellow students and teachers. Although I can’t pick one chapel service in particular, I have enjoyed many of the Monday chapel services.”
