Winter Celebration Schedule
Are you ready for a celebration? A WINTER celebration? Well, it’s finally here – the Annual Winter Celebration starts Thursday, February 15 and runs all the way through Sunday, February 18. Today’s feature covers just a few of the wonderful activities you and your family can enjoy this weekend in Wellsboro!
Thursday, February 15 at 7:30pm – The BlueJayz will be playing at the Deane Center. Tickets are five dollars for more information and to make reservations you can contact the Deane Center at 570-724-6220 or visit deanecenter.com.
Friday, February 16
7:00 PM – at the Penn Wells Hotel lounge is the EMMF Jazz Fest with Bram Wijnands there is a cover charge is $10 , however if you bring an instrument and jam, you can get in for free.
7:30 PM – at the Deane Center Coolidge Theater will be Joe Cavalaro’s Dixieland Jazz Band.

Saturday, February 17
8 AM to 11 AM – FFA Pancake Breakfast (Adults are $6, children 6 to 12yrs are $3, under six years and farmers are free)located at the Wellsboro Firemans annex.
9 AM to 3 PM – Highland chocolates will be at the Dean center lobby.
Artists and Craftsmen to Display Outdoors
9 AM to 4 PM – Locey Creek Alpacas at 61 Main Street
10 AM to 3 PM – Face painting and Portraits and Wood Chainsaw Carving on the Deane Center lawn.
10 AM to 5 PM – Werner’s Wood Carvings at 107 Main St.
10 AM and every hour on the hour until 3 PM Ice Carving up and down Main Street
10:30 AM – Deane Little Beans Winter Celebration – Natural History and Colonial Science Fun for Kids and Winter Carnival with games and prizes located at the Deane Center Coolidge Theater and lobby to register call 570-724-6910 or info@thefifthseason.biz FREE.
11 AM to 2 PM – Chili with a Chance of Chocolate Taste-Off at participating downtown businesses. Tickets are $5 and available at the Chamber of Commerce 114 Main St. Wellsboro. This benefits Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries.
11 AM to 2 PM – Winter Brew Tasting- sample winter beers and enjoy refreshments at The Fifth Season. FREE
12 PM to 3 PM – Winter Games and Activities for children and adults. Attend a cross country skiing mini-clinic for beginners, snow golf and at 2 PM a tubing contest. All Equipment provided on The Green.
12 PM to 3 PM – Cookie Decorating and Hot chocolate for ages 1 to 12 on Walnut Street at Saint Pauls Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall. FREE
7 PM – Family Movie Night and Luau. Watch The Disney film “Moana” and enjoy free popcorn, beverages and drawings for prizes. Flower Lei for each youngster and take a photo with Moana at the Deane Center Coolidge Theater.
7:30 PM – EMMF Jazz Fest with Bram Wijnands. Tickets are $30, Concert doors open at 7:15 PM at The Penn Well Hotel for tickets please call 570-787-7800. There will be a pre-show dinner from 5pm to 7:15 PM. Pre-show dinner tickets are $30 + tax, Reservations are Required call the Penn Wells Hotel at 570-724-2111.
Sunday, February 18
9 AM to 11 AM – Mt Tom Challenge registration is from 8am to 8:30am at the Darling Run Parking lot. For information visit mttomchallenge.com. This event is FREE
9 AM to 1 PM – Family Jazz Brunch with EMMF Jazz Fest Musician Bram Wijnands. Brunch cost is $18 + tax. For Reservations call the Penn Wells Hotel at 570-724-2111.
