Home Page spoke with Lauren Morral about some upcoming chamber events here in Tioga County. This weekend will be the Wellsboro Wine & Art Tour. Get your weekend started on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. with Wine 101: Learn How to Taste Like a Pro – with professional sommelier Holly Howell. At 8:00 pm there will be beer tasting with local brew master, Rob Kathcart. On Saturday, the Wine & Art tour will consist of 10-12 downtown businesses that will each feature wine tasting from 1:00-6:00pm, paired with hors d’oeuvres and accompanied by a local artisan, author, or musician. Wine and Design will also be present at The Deane Center lobby.

Car enthusiasts will want to check out the Classic Care Cruise In from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Don’t forget about the Step Outdoors TRYathalon and 5k trail run and walk. This event is being held on Saturday, September 20 at 10:00am at Hills Creek State Park.

The following weekend continues with fun activities, as the Wellsboro Area Chamber of Commerce golf outing is held on Friday September 26. This “make your own four-person scramble” will begin at 9:00am with a continental breakfast, followed by a 10:00am shotgun start. There are many on-course prizes, and lunch & dinner will be provided.

Mountain bikers won’t want to miss the 20th Annual Laurel Classic being held Saturday, September 27. Registration begins at 8:30am. There are events for all levels of mountain bikers.
