Hornets turn up heat, top Montgomery
After a slow first half against Montgomery on Friday, September 7, the Wellsboro Varsity Football team scored 26 unanswered points to notch their third straight win to start 2018.

“For whatever reason we didn’t come out ready to play,” said head coach Matt Hildebrand following the game. “I don’t know what that reason was, we’ll definitely have a better week of practice hopefully. I don’t know if it was the weather this week or what, but we definitely came out flat at home so we really have to clean that up because next week that will lose us a football game.”

On this broadcast, Home Page Vice-President, Sara Vogt, spoke with Christine Moore of Christine A. Moore Millinery, about what her company will be doing to encourage you to come and join in on the fun this year! Sara also found out from last year’s second place winner, Jan Stiner, how he felt when he was awarded a gift certificate for a Christine A Moore hat. Seeing that it was Christmas time, he offered the certificate to his wife so she could have a hat made for her. BUT is that the end of the story? Watch this broadcast to find out what Christine is offering those who join in on the fun this year and who did get a hat at Jan’s home on Christmas morning?

Wellsboro girls roll to 8-0 win
Kerrah Clymer scored a hat trick to lead the Wellsboro Girls Soccer team to an 8-0 win over Williamson on Thursday, September 13.

“We knew coming in that they didn’t have a lot, but weren’t trying to run the score up,” head coach Scott Burrous said. “We tried different girls to score and got different girls to score. It was fun. One of our goals is to prepare for districts and sometimes you can move people around when you ge the opportunities to see who can play these positions.”
