Wellsboro Borough Council Meeting

by John Vogt - November 19, 2018

The monthly meeting of the Wellsboro Borough Council took place this Tuesday, November 13th. Several changes and developments for our community were discussed and approved.

Council Member Michael Wood announced that the borough had received a Shell community grant in the amount of $24,500. These funds will be used to replace a generator at the Wellsboro Fire Department building and for the Wellsboro Police Department Drug Program at our local schools. Mr. Wood expressed that the Borough is extremely grateful for these funds.

Council Member Matthew Decamp said that the Wellsboro Borough Mobile App is now available for both Android and iPhone users. The borough will use this app to announce road closures, events and meeting schedules. This new mobile app is available for free download and connects directly to the borough’s website.

During the second half of today’s broadcast borough manager, Scott Boyce talks with Home Page Operations Manager Rhonda Pearson on the things covered that makes him most excited including free parking. Please take a few moments to watch today’s feature.

Borough Council meetings are open to the public and are held on the second Monday of every month beginning at 6:00 PM unless otherwise stated. We encourage our Home Page viewers to make it a priority to be there and participate in your civic responsibility of helping to run our community.
