FROM THE EYES OF AN OFFICER

Wellsboro High school students Nick Levindoski and Nick Marple learned a lot from the Wellsboro Police Department’s Ride-Along program. This program has been in existence for over 20 years and has been well received by educators, parents, law enforcement officials and students alike. Students ride along with the Wellsboro Police Department for approximately two hours of an officer’s shift. During those two hours anything can happen, setting up a perfect learning experience for the students.

A CHAT WITH NAT

Her grandchildren call her Sumu, her friends call her Nat – but we think her real name is FUN. Wellsboro Home Page had the privilege of interviewing Natalie W. Quinn. She is an author of wonderful children’s stories, a seasoned broadcaster and a skillful communicator with a big heart for kids. She dedicates the stories she writes and produces to the parents of children everywhere who want to see their sons and daughters grow and develop in the gift of imagination.

HELP YPN SHELTER THE HOMELESS

Homelessness is not just a city problem. It’s happening right now in Tioga County.

TCHI’s (Tioga County Homeless Initiative) mission is to establish and operate a centrally located Tioga County Homeless Shelter supported by a faith-based network of churches and organizations. Whose goal is to help homeless families and individuals have a warm, safe place to sleep.

For more information about TCHI you can go to their website at TiogaHomeless.org or by calling (570) 439-9383 (ask for Abby.)
