YOUNG ARTISTS INSPIRE WELLSBORO
Our correspondent, Morgan Koziar, had the opportunity to meet a few of these incredible artists. Sophomore Sandra Bilder showed us her beautiful “Twice As Nice” project, an impressionist piece featuring a combination of styles from Monet and Degas. Senior Danielle Zavetsky presented her painting – a perspective piece from a past trip to St. Thomas. Finally, Sophomore Emma Eccher showed us her five-texture project, inspired by her dreams of the upcoming summer.

IT’S TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK!
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. We encourage our Home Page viewers to take a moment to thank the teachers who have influenced and impacted your lives. Using today’s technology and social media, we have the opportunity to thank more teachers than ever before. By including the hashtag phrase – #ThankATeacher – on social media websites – helps share this message globally. Handwritten personal notes can be the most treasured of all! Take a few moments to reflect on those special teachers in your life and then find a way to make it happen. Don’t put it off another year – just do it! Say, THANK YOU!

Barbara Strope, R.N. – an ICU nurse at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital – joined us to talk about her nursing experiences. She began by explaining how she became an L.P.N. (licensed practical nurse) and continued her education over the years to become an R.N (registered nurse). Strope shared why she enjoys nursing and working for Susquehanna Health here in Wellsboro. Barbara also offered her advice to those who are interested in the nursing field and things to look for in the process.
