SMALL-TOWN BAND, BILLTOWN DREAMS!
The Hyatt Howe Band is eagerly preparing for the Billtown Blues challenge taking place this weekend. The Billtown Blues Association is dedicated to providing opportunities for area residents to experience blues music, to producing quality performance opportunities for national, regional, and local artists who have a devoted interest in this music, and to preserving blues music’s status as a valued American art form, by educating interested members and non-members about the blues.

15-YEAR-OLD TRAINS EMERGENCY COMMS!
In Pennsylvania, we have a seven-county regional task force that deals with all the homeland security funding to enhance our response. Funding kits have been developed to assist the amateur radio groups throughout the seven counties in order to do their job of helping us in emergency management.
“Kelsey Seymour has been involved in the entire equipment process. He provided advice and guidance on what to purchase, designed the portable kits, and organized the labor to assemble the [seven] kits.” says Tioga County’s Emergency Management Coordinator, Dennis Colegrove.

A WEEKEND TRIP TO THE SUGAR SHACKS!
This weekend is the 10th Annual Maple Weekend for both Tioga and Potter Counties. This “traveling festival” is a tribute to all things maple. Maple producers all over Tioga and Potter counties will be demonstrating tree tapping, sugar boiling, and more! You can pick up a map for this sweet adventure at the Wellsboro area Chamber of Commerce. This map provides a great layout for a maple-infused road-trip! On this adventure you can enjoy pancake stops, maple candy, maple butter, maple nuts, maple cotton-candy and more! But have you ever wondered what goes into making all these amazing treats?
