STUDENT-RAISED LIVESTOCK TO SELL AT FAIR
The Junior Livestock Sale and Milk Auction will take place on August 15th, beginning at 3:00 PM. That’s when all of the terminal projects go into the show ring and bidders will enthusiastically bid on the animals. This is a perfect opportunity for you to come and bid on the selection of over 200 animals that will be auctioned that day. Most of the money will go to the exhibitors, while some will aid the upkeep and maintenance of the fair grounds. We hope to see many of our Home Page viewers at the this year’s Tioga County Fair, and don’t miss the auction on August 15th!

PERSONAL PROFILES – MULTIMEDIA MOORE
Tioga County is home to people from various walks of life – from teachers to doctors to artists and computer technicians. But how did they become what they are today, and what brought them here? These questions and more will be answered in our new series, Personal Profiles. Today’s feature is a preview edition of this new series with local multimedia producer, Andrew Moore. Moore currently works as the Director of Video Production at The Home Page Network. (Is there someone you think we should highlight? Let us know!)

MU PSYCH CENTRAL – INSIDE MENTAL HEALTH
In many cases, people confuse mental health providers and the differences among psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and many others. Though this is common and natural for those who do not fully understand the psychology profession, it can be helpful to differentiate between various providers, especially when it comes to seeking mental health.
Susquehanna Behavioral Health focuses on providing effective mental health treatment. As such, this organization houses a vast array of mental health providers, including psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and marriage and family therapists. This makes an excellent backdrop for interviewing a host of mental health providers in order to clear up some of the confusion about what role each provider maintains, how each one provides treatment, and how they collaborate with one another through this process.

DISTRICT IV FOOTBALL MEDIA DAY
23 teams from District IV, including a few from the Northern Tier League, gathered at the Williamsport Country Club on Tuesday, August 4 for the second annual District IV Football Coaches Association’s media day press conference.

Each head coach gave a quick introduction to members of local media outlets, featuring a brief rundown of their roster along with their outlook on the upcoming season. Team representatives, in addition to the head coaches, were then questioned by the media about their thoughts on the season.

The 2015 football season kicks off on Friday, September 4. Be sure to follow us for game highlights, box scores, and stats throughout the season.
