WELLSBORO LITTLE LEAGUE OPENING DAY
The Wellsboro Little League kicked off their 64th season on Saturday, April 25 with their annual Opening Day Parade. The parade started at 10 a.m. as teams left Packer Park led by the Wellsboro Marching Band and made their way down Queen St. before turning onto Main St. The teams made their way up Main St. in front of big crowd, before turning around and heading back to Packer Park.

BOSTON MARATHON RUNNER RETURNS
From Wellsboro to Boston and back here with us today is Ted Sneshkoff, local runner, (and as of Monday April 20th) – Boston Marathon Finisher! Many cold days (and nights) he trained through this bitter snowy winter. You might think someone who ran over 26 miles to complete a marathon would have always been into running, but this isn’t the case with Ted. He made the choice to begin this healthier and more active lifestyle back in 2010 and has finished several marathons already, leads group runs, and who knows what’s next?
Ted will be leading a Couch-to-5K program this summer. Let him (or any other member of the Tyoga Running Club) know if you are interested in making your own life change in the upcoming months. The series will culminate in at the 5K run/walk event at Hills Creek State Park in September, so you have plenty of time even if you wouldn’t dream of running a few miles now.

THE THRILL OF THE WATER!
Would you like to learn the basic skills of kayaking before traveling on the waters of Tioga County? That has been the mission of the Kayak Club of Mansfield University for the past sixteen years. Mike Sidell, one of the instructors of the Kayak Club said that “it is a university club and we try to teach university people and we do anyone from the university family that wants to learn. And we have had people from Provost, all the way down to freshmen. It is also open to the community.”
