This event is a special benefit played by the Wellsboro School District faculty and students from the boys and girls basketball teams. COLE & BURD SHARE LOVE!
Recently at Cole & Burd in Mansfield, PA Mark Burd presented a check to the Animal Care Sanctuary as part of the Subaru “Share the Love” Event. The check, in the amount of $9,514 dollars, was presented to the Executive Director of ACS, Joan Smith-Reese and the Wellsboro Director, Wendy Reber. Also there for the presentation was the District Sales Manager of Subaru for Northeast PA, Adam Woodhull. Adam explained the “Share the Love” Sales Event has taken place for the past seven years. This event runs from late November to the end of the year. People who purchase Subarus during that time frame can select one of the four National Charities or one home town charity in which Subaru will donate $250.00 in their name. This year Subaru donated $15,000,000. Cole and Burd chose to select a home town charity – the Animal Care Sanctuary.

TAP A TREE WITH TIM
Whether you grew up with maple syrup in your veins or it’s something you’ve never tried before, you’re in for a real treat this weekend! On March 21st & 22nd, Tioga and Potter Counties are hosting their 11th Annual Maple Weekend in celebration of this home-grown favorite! Stop by the Wellsboro Area Chamber of Commerce and pick up a map of locations to sample maple syrup, pancakes, cotton candy & more! In today’s edition of Outdoor Adventures, Tim Morey invites you to join him this weekend for a family tree-tapping event at Hills Creek State Park. “Tapping trees” is the traditional method for harvesting tree sap, (which eventually becomes the liquid gold we enjoy on our pancakes!) “You can create some family memories here,” says Morey. “Come out Hills Creek this weekend! Tap a tree, hang a bucket.”
