WELLSBORO HOME PAGE 2.0
What’s New for Wellsboro Home Page 2.0:

Up until now we have been locked into one feature story a day. When breaking news happened we would bump down the feature story and replace it with the breaking news story. But what if something important happened that wasn’t considered breaking news? We were stuck. Now, with Wellsboro Home Page 2.0, we have a way to publish several stories on the same day. You’ll find them at the top of the left navigation bar. Every 5 seconds or so each story will rotate through like a slideshow. When you see one that you are interested in, just click on the story photo or choose the story you want to view from the list located under the rotating photos. We have also cleaned up both the top navigation bar and the side bar to make things easier to navigate. Find out more…

TIOGA COUNTY’S NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS
New Years! This time of year can be both encouraging, or just downright discouraging! Have you set any New Year’s resolutions or goals? Maybe you have set a goal to get fit and eat healthier? Or maybe you don’t bother with them at all, because if the goal is not met it just leads to discouragement. Either way, Home Page would like to encourage you to put your best foot forward in 2015 and stay positive as we begin this year.

Northern Tier Cultural Alliance is the producer of this exhibit. Ruth Tonachel, Executive Director of NTCA, shared with us her passion for folk art and the everyday person who uses their talents to document the importance of where they live.

NORTH PENN-LIBERTY TAKES WRESTLING WIN!
The Wellsboro Hornets traveled to Blossburg on Thursday, January 8th to take on the North Penn-Liberty Panthers in NTL wrestling action.

The Match kicked off at 285 pounds with Owen Covert taking on Justin Kriner. Kriner struck first with a two-point take down. He didn’t hold the lead for very long, as Covert got the quick two-point reversal and rode out the match to take the victory 3-2.

After five North Penn-Liberty wins by forfeit, Wellsboro sent out Vincent DeRita to face Dewey Wise at the 145 weight class. Wise had an early takedown and followed it up with a near fall. Wise finally took full control later in the match and pined DeRita at 1:30 to give the panthers a 36-3 advantage. Read more…
