Unsung Festival Heroes

by Johanna Vogt, Drew Patrick - June 25, 2014

The Laurel Festival is one of the summer’s most unforgettable events. However, there are many people who go unnoticed. The volunteers who clean up trash, fold up chairs, and restore our town are the real unsung heroes. Wellsboro Home Page would like to personally thank the following people for their hard work and dedication:

We’d like to thank James Nichols, who has been helping to clean for over 20 years. Jim Paxson has also volunteered for years, and led the food vendors clean-up. This year he announced his retirement from the cleaning detail. (Thank you Jim for all your hard work over these many years!)

Finally, Wellsboro Home Page would like to extend a special thanks to the Chamber of Commerce, the Wellsboro Borough, the Wellsboro Girls Basketball Team, and everyone else who volunteered their time and efforts to restore the town to it’s natural beauty. Without all of you, the Laurel Festival would not be possible.
