Two Men, Two Organizations, One Mission!

by Sara Vogt - July 25, 2014

Two men, two organizations – joined together for one mission! Dr. Nathan Rinnert – Chair of Mansfield University Music Department, and Robert Bokor – internationally acclaimed Serbian-Swiss conductor and violinist and EMMF orchestra member. Their mission this summer: to encourage and mentor young musicians that have come to String Orchestra and Brass Camps. These camps are held in conjunction with Mansfield University and EMMF.

Both men could have chosen different things to do this summer – basking in the sun in Italy or riding a motorcycle across the USA. But thankfully they chose to be a part of this new adventure in music summer camps. Not only are there the brass and orchestra camps – there are also 18 piano students from China studying here, with teachers from both organizations instructing them.

These camps end tomorrow after a final concert. This event will take place on Saturday, July 26th at 3:30 p.m. in the Steadman Auditorium at Mansfield University. The public is welcome to attend as free admission is offered. This is a great opportunity for everyone in the community, especially for parents and their children who are interested in the different instruments represented. Following the camp concert, the first Endless Mountain Music Festival concert will be held in the same auditorium. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Ticket cost will be $10.00 per person (in a pre-ordered party of 10 or more) and $25.00 for individuals.
