Stadium Funding Resolution Passed
On Tuesday, April 14 the Wellsboro Area School Board passed two resolutions by a 5-4 to begin the funding for the new Wellsboro Community Athletic Complex. The School Board’s vote will refinance the school district’s existing debt by extending it five years.
The estimated $3.5 million project that aims to include new lighting, bleachers, track, and playing surface, will now move forward to secure a construction loan for renovations and to also take advantage of a $1 million state-funded RACP grant, by June 6.
