Pitching Bests Offense!
Last Friday evening, the Mansfield Tigers traveled to Wellsboro where they faced the Hornets in a tough NTL showdown. It was a pitchers duel. Neither team could get into a groove offensively because of great pitching. Each team only scored one run in the early stages of the game setting up a tense stalemate that lasted through ten innings.
Finally in the bottom of the tenth, the Hornets caught the break they needed when Cody Dehaus was brought home off the sacrifice fly of Brandon Owlett. The Hornets defeated the Tigers, 2-1. To watch the recap, click the video link above.
