MU Beat – Red Fridays
On today’s broadcast, we feature the latest edition of Mansfield University Beat with President Fran Hendricks and MU’s Director of Public Relations, Terry Day. Our focus for this installment of MU Beat is Red Friday.
Mansfield’s record of military service dates back to the civil war. Mounties have served and defended the United States of America from our early days as a nation and continue to do so to this day.
One of the ways that Mansfield University honors those who are currently serving our country, and their families, is by donning red every Friday.
Terry conducts an incredible interview with Cecil Cooper who is a junior year student, veteran, and Red Friday event organizer. Cecil explains how Red Friday got started and why it’s so important. We hope that you will take a few shot moments to deepen your understanding regarding the sacrifice our service men and women make on our behalf. President Hendricks reminds us that participating in Red Friday is “a simple thing, but it means so much.”
President Hendricks, Terry Day and Cecil Cooper are all veterans. We thank them for their service to our country with all of our hearts.
