It’s A Dog’s Life!
Some of the important reasons we take our pets to a groomer are mentioned in this article and talked about today on our feature with Mary Tyre of Pampered Pooch. When most of us think about grooming we picture our dogs looking and smelling great! However, groomers can also detect early signs of illness in our pets, giving us information to relay to our veterinarians.
They can also help to protect our families health by identifying an infestation of parasites such as fleas, ticks and tapeworms which can be transmitted to us. Another way grooming benefits our pets is by making the animals more comfortable by the process of trimming their nails, clearing hair out of their ears and removing matted hair – just to mention a few! The lack of hair and dander in our homes left (due to the groomers’ help) will help keep allergies from irritating and leaves your house cleaner.
All of the products used at Pampered Pooch are natural and help to bring healing to the skin and hair, and none of the shampoos contain detergent which would dry out the skin. At the Pet Salon and Boutique they offer many services, including self-service wash if you would like to wash your dog yourself. They provide the towels and shampoo and they do the clean up!
The staff at Pampered Pooch includes DeEtta Patrick, Amanda Rouse and Jessica Cuda, who are more than happy to answer any questions that you would have about their grooming services. You can check out their Facebook page here.
Remember, (as stated in the video above), they only take in your pets by appointment – so if you are interested in having an appointment you can call them at (570)-724-8999. Pampered Pooch is located at 64 R Main Street in Wellsboro, PA.
