Come to Hickory Fest 2017!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - July 25, 2017

It’s time for the 15th Annual Hickory Fest Music in the Canyon! Come on down to beautify Stony Fork Creek Campground in Wellsboro from August 18-20. Enjoy Three days of live acoustic music, crafts and food in a spectacular outdoor setting.

Hickory Fest benefits the Tioga County Relay for Life and the Sue Cunningham Memorial Music Scholarship. Sue Cunningham produced the festival for the first 13 years until her untimely passing in 2015. There will be 20 bands, featuring Peter Rowan and The Travelin’ McCourys – all coming together to honor the legacy and memory of Sue Cunningham.

On Sunday, August 20th, Hickory Fest is excited to host the 1st Annual Sue Cunningham Youth Fiddle Contest. This will be a freestyle fiddle/violin contest with all styles welcome. There will be three divisions, ranging in age from 5-18 years old. Three winners of each group will receive cash prizes, as well as a $100 dollar gift certificate from J.R. Judd Violins in Williamsport.

For the perfect summer weekend extravaganza, and for a beautiful cause, come out to Hickory Fest – where they raised almost $10,000 for the Tioga County Relay for Life. Get your ticket online at HickoryFest.com, or in person at The Deane Center in downtown Wellsboro.

Rain or shine, it’s going to be a fantastic time!
