WELLSBORO, PA – Citizens & Northern Bank is adding to its strength in mortgage lending by adding two new Mortgage Loan Officers, Linda Bowen and Andee Cummings.

With over 32 years in the financial services industry, Linda Bowen joined C&N in 2013 as a Mortgage Lending Assistant in the Sayre office and instantly became a key employee in the team’s success in Bradford County, PA and the Elmira area in NY. In this role, she was a close partner with the mortgage lenders, establishing strong relationships with clients, realtors and attorneys. About her new role, Bowen said, “I value the relationships I’ve built with our clients and local professionals over the last 5 years. I look forward to strengthening those existing relationships while also creating new ones. Helping friends and neighbors of this area realize their dreams is truly gratifying.” Prior to joining C&N, Linda was employed by Visions Credit Union as a Mortgage Interviewer and held positions with several other financial institutions. A native of the area, she graduated from Owego Free Academy in Owego, NY and is a dedicated New York Yankees fan.

Andee Cummings earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from Mansfield University in 2004. Prior to joining C&N, she spent 7 years as the Associate Director for Student Life and Student Transition at Mansfield University, where she planned, promoted and executed programs and events to successfully engage, retain and transition students to the university. Upon joining C&N in 2016 as a Business Analyst, she spearheaded the development, implementation and execution of C&N’s electronic imaging project. The following year, she accepted the position of Management Trainee, in which she worked within core banking areas to gain the skills, knowledge, and exposure necessary to successfully advance as a well-rounded leader within the Bank.

“Andee is a sponge for information with a strong desire to learn and grow,” said Sickler. “She has not shied away from any challenge and is a natural fit for the Tioga County market. We are grateful for her commitment and look forward to the successful career that she is certain to build at C&N.”

Regarding her new role, Cummings said, “As a mortgage specialist, I look forward to helping people during such an exciting time in their life.” She will be based in C&N’s Mansfield office, working closely with the Tioga County mortgage lending team to assist clients with buying, building or refinancing their home or leveraging the equity they’ve built through home equity loans and lines of credit. A lifelong resident of the Mansfield area, she enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it be running, kayaking, hiking, hunting or farming. Andee lives with her significant other, Matthew, and his 5-year-old daughter, Mackenzie, has coached softball in the community for a number of years and remains an active Little League Coach.

One other notable change to the C&N mortgage team is related to Linda Bowen’s promotion. Rachel Brill, Mortgage Loan Sales Officer, has relocated from the Sayre office to Wellsboro, providing a resource for people in that area looking for expertise in purchasing, selling or refinancing their homes.
