Back to Basics – Order

by Pastor TJ Freeman - April 24, 2015

“When life hands you lemons, make _______________.” Could you finish the sentence? Like most Americans, you’ve probably learned the art of turning lemons into lemonade. Sure, your life might feel like a series of bad circumstances, but you’ve somehow managed to navigate through them, one by one.

Learning to make the best of every situation is great, but it’s possible that your “can do” attitude is leading you deeper into trouble. The problem arises when we begin searching for solutions outside of the order that God has established. As the Author of all things, God has lovingly provided boundaries for all of creation. The best part? When we submit to His order, we discover that it is both for our good and His glory!

In John 8:31-32, Jesus said these words: “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32 ESV)

As you continue to make your way through the circumstances of life, remember that it is not your best effort, but the Truth that sets you free.
