A Few of My Favorite Things

by Chloe Quimby - November 17, 2015

When it comes to winter fashion, many of us northerners give up on aesthetically pleasing clothing in favor of warmer apparel. But, as we at WHP learned in our interview with Fifth Season’s stylist Britt Garrison, The Fifth Season Boutique keeps your wardrobe classy and cozy.

“No matter what client I’m working with–how old they are, what size they are–I have a number one styling tip…” Garrison says, “Be comfortable.”

When asked for more specific recommendations to stay warm, Garrison responds, “One of my favorite things–and it’s a little unconventional…[is] a sleeveless sweater. And they’re kind of popular this season…[it] will layer over everything.”

An excellent opportunity to check out the sleeveless sweater (and other unique pieces) is just around the corner. The Fifth Season is hosting their annual Holiday Open House, Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st from 9:30am-8:00pm, as well as Sunday, November 22nd from 10:00am-6:00pm. The event includes raffles, refreshments, and a variety of fabulous sales (all boutique clothing is buy one get one 50% off!).

Garrison also extoled the “Our Favorite Things” Holiday Fashion Show and Home Décor Extravaganza. Of the fashion show, she says, “We will be featuring all of our favorite fall/winter [clothing]…I personally styled a lot of the models and I’m very exciting about what we’ll be featuring…things you are going to feel wonderful wearing…and we will give styling tips.”

The fashion show will be held Saturday, November 21st from 2:00pm-4:00pm. The show includes a five course hors d’oeuvre and dessert tasting menu with champagne cocktails. Giveaways and fun surprises add intrigue to the event. Tickets are $20 and seating is limited, so call or stop in soon!

For more information, visit The Fifth Season’s website at http://thefifthseason.biz/ or call the boutique at (570) 724-6910. Or better yet, stop in during the Holiday Open House to see the casual elegance The Fifth Season offers you and your home.
